Player registration fees for the new season have been set at £175. This will be the first rise in registration fees at the Club in five years and is as a result of increased running costs faced by the Club.
As an Executive Committee we believe that these fees still represent real value for money for our members, especially with the facilities our players now have access to following the opening of the 3G and Changing Pavilion (CP) in October 2021. In addition, these fees still place us as one of the cheapest junior football clubs to register with in the Cheshire region.
The extra revenue generated will cover the Club’s increased running costs for the forthcoming season while generating a small budget for the Club to invest in further improvement projects such as the furnishing of the CP, the installation of external seating at the 3G and the creation of a secure goals compound for the grass pitches at Helsby High School. These are valuable and important contributions which parents and carers make to the future development of the Club and we thank you for your continued support.
The Club have retained the sibling discount of £25 for each sibling, a discount that was increased from £10 per player to £25 per player last season. As such the cost to register a second, third or fourth sibling is now £150 per child.
All player registrations will again be processed through the Club website and will once more include the option of paying registration fees in full, or in ten monthly instalments.
The Registration Portal for the 2022/23 season will open on Friday 10 June.

The recipients were able to collect their awards from Acting Chairman Jeff Abbott and were distributed as follows:

Girls Section, Volunteer of the Year: Ian Forster (U9s and U12s Town Girls Manager) – (we still need to grab Ian for a photo!).
Young Volunteer of the Year: Sam Jones (Coach, U15s Park)
Long service Awards (registered with the Club U7s – U18s): Owen Evans and Thomas Clarke
We were also delighted to formally thank the pitch set up crew for the fabulous job they have been doing with some gift vouchers.
Well done all.
We are an FA Charter Standard Community Football Club – the highest standard that a grassroots club can achieve and we have been Charter Standard for over five years.
We are based at Helsby High School so our home fixtures are played on the school field – a private venue (so no dog muck) and from October we will be the primary users of the brand new, state-of-the-art 3G, artificial pitch and changing pavilion which our teams will use for training and matches.
We are still one of the cheapest local clubs to register with at £150 for the season with no additional costs, this can also be payed in 10 monthly instalments.
We are delighted to announce that Under 11s Town manager, Scott Pennington has been elected to the the role of Coach & Player Development Officer at our recent AGM. Scott had put himself forward following the recent departure of Craig Hitchmough and will take up the role with immediate effect.
Acting Chairman Jeff Abbott stated: “We are delighted to welcome Scott on to the Executive Committee, he is a long-serving coach and manager within our Club who understands our values and philosophy. Scott joins ‘Exec’ at a very exciting time with the 3G and Changing Pavilion due to open at Helsby High School in the Autumn. We wish Scott every success in his new position.”
As part of the C&PD Officer’s role Scott will head up the C&PD Committee.
Congratulations to Zac Webster (Under 13s Town Manager) and Phil Wood (Under 14s Town Falcons Manager) who have today completed their FA Level 2 qualifications and are now FA Level 2 qualified coaches.
Both Zac and Phil began their FA Level 2 in January 2020 and were due to complete the course in July 2020, however this was delayed due to the pandemic. The course involved ten days classroom based and on-pitch practical sessions in three blocks. In addition to these both had to submit a project and today had their training sessions assessed by FA Assessor Becks Pilkington.
As a Club we now proudly boast a total of six FA Level 2 qualified coaches.
Congratulations to you both!
We are sorry to announce that Nigel Cunniffe has stepped down as Chairman of Frodsham Junior Football Club with immediate effect. Nigel has decided to step away from the role due to increased family and work commitments.
The Executive Committee would like to place on record our thanks to Nigel for the boundless energy and enthusiasm which he brought to the role over the past three years. Throughout his time as Chairman Nigel demonstrated his commitment to improving our Club and its facilities for all our players, coaches, volunteers and the wider community.
The Executive Committee have agreed to undertake a review of the role before seeking to appoint a successor. In the interim, Vice Chairman Jeff Abbott will assume the role of Acting Chairman.

As a result we have a vacancy on the Executive Committee and are inviting people to register their interest.
Full details of the role and what is involved are on the Executive Committee page. Should anyone wish to discuss the role further please feel free to contact any member of the Exec who will be happy to discuss this further with you.

We are delighted to announce that we have been able to hold player registration fees at £150 for the 2021/22 season. In addition, the Club have been able to not only increase the sibling discount from £10 per player to £25 per player, but also extend it to families registering two children (previously the discount only applied from the third sibling). As such the cost to register a second, third or fourth sibling is now £125 per child, a reduction which we hope will benefit many families.
The 2021/22 season will also see the opening of the 3G facility and changing pavilion at Helsby High School with our teams training and playing on the new pitch from the autumn.
All player registrations will again be processed through the Club website and will once more include the option of paying registration fees in full, or in ten monthly instalments.
The Registration Portal for the 2021/22 season will open on Friday 11 June.

ALL FOOTBALL ACTIVITY SUSPENDED.
In line with the UK Government’s Announcement on a New National Lockdown, Frodsham Junior Football Club has suspended all football activity.
This includes all matches (both competitive and friendly) as well as all team training sessions including our Academy and SSE Wildcats sessions as our Club joins the rest of the nation in lockdown.
In addition, the Mid-Cheshire Youth Football league and Cheshire Girls Football League have both suspended all fixtures until late January at the earliest, (return subject to Government guidance at that time).
This is a further blow to all Club members, but you will be aware these restrictions apply throughout England, and all ‘Non-Elite’ football has been suspended.
As this is an ever-changing situation, we will post any further updates as and when they arise on this website.
For your reference here is the FA’s Statement.
Stay home. Stay safe.

Leah joined Frodsham Junior FC as a player some 17 years ago at the age of four and has gone on to represent the Club at all age groups including our Open Age Women’s team, of which she is currently a member. Leah is also the third longest serving coach within the female section of the Club having achieved her FA Level One within a month of her 16th birthday.
Leah has assisted with coaching a number of age groups over the years and is currently supporting our Girls Under 14s Town team. Leah is an excellent ambassador and role model for the girls, and has previously been a recipient of the Club’s Young Volunteer of the Year Award. Leah will be a great asset to the Coach and Player Development (C&PD) Committee.
C&PD Officer Craig Hitchmough stated: “Leah will be a fantastic addition to our C&PD team! She has been through the full Frodsham Juniors player journey, and has gained a great deal of coaching experience, which she will be able to share with future coaches. Leah is a dedicated and committed volunteer who is Frodsham JFC through and through, I look forward to seeing what she achieves in her new role.”
Leah will take over from Chris Jennings who is stepping aside after 10 years to concentrate on developing his own coaching skills whilst continuing to manage the Girls Under 14s Town side who continue to go from strength to strength.
A huge thank you from everyone at our Club for everything Chris has achieved during his tenure and good luck Leah in your new role.
Leah’s contact details are available on the C&PD Committee page.

Mid-Cheshire Youth Football League Statement:
In light of the impending lock down and the recent statement issued by both The FA and CCFA, we have discussed this and decided that we will suspend all league fixtures during the lock down period and hope to see these fixtures restart in January. (Although this will be dependent on the guidance at that time).
I would like to thank you all for your continued efforts to ensure that grassroots football takes place, and know that we will all work hard to restart the league fixtures as soon as we are safe and ready to do so.
