Registration Fees have been set at £190 per player for the 2024/25 season

SIBLING DISCOUNT INCREASED TO £40 PER PLAYER

Player registration fees for the new season have been set at £190, this represents an increase of just £5 on the previous year, in addition, the Club have increased the Family Discount to £40 for each additional family member, as such the cost to register a second, third or fourth family member remains at £150.

We have all been faced with increased costs over the past year and Frodsham JFC is no different. The Executive Committee have worked hard to keep any increase in fees to a minimum, and we believe that these fees still represent real value for money for our members, given the facilities and membership benefits our players have access to. In addition, these fees still place us as one of the cheapest junior football clubs to register with, in the Cheshire region.

Furthermore, the Club recently won the Cheshire FA’s Grassroots Club of the Year Award and retains its FA 3-star accreditation (the highest FA accreditation available). These uphold our status as a leading grassroots club in the area.

All player registrations will again be processed through the Club website and will once more include the option of paying registration fees in full, or in ten monthly instalments.

Frodsham Juniors FC are proud to announce that Frodsham Super Falcons took part in their first tournament and matches at a pan-disability football tournament hosted by Cheshire FA on 24th February.

Playing 6 games against other local clubs, Frodsham Super Falcons held their heads high, wearing their smiles with their medals and scoring plenty of goals throughout the tournament.

It was great to see so many young people able to get their chance out on the football pitch, and the excitement was visible across all the players involved, united by their love of football and inclusivity.

Despite being their first appearance in such a competitive setting, the Frodsham Super Falcons showcased exceptional sportsmanship, determination, and teamwork throughout the tournament.

Frodsham Super Falcons only started up in the 2023/24 season and it was a wonderful opportunity to be involved in such a great tournament at such an early stage in our journey.

Frodsham Super Falcons are a growing team, training on Monday nights, 5-6pm at Helsby High School and looking for new players to come and join our lovely pan-disability football team. All players welcome ages 6-12, FREE, session lead by our FA qualified coaches at our state-of-the-art 3G pitch.

JEFF STEPS DOWN AFTER TWO YEARS IN POST

Club Chairman Jeff Abbott has stepped down after two years in the role and will be replaced as Chairman by current Marketing and PR Officer Phil Wood.

The Executive Committee would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Jeff, who has been an active volunteer with the Club for over 14 years as a coach, team manager, Vice-Chairman and subsequently Chairman.

New Chairman Phil Wood said “Jeff has for years been a fantastic volunteer for our Club, and has played such a huge part in the progression the Club has made in recent years. I would personally like to thank Jeff for all he has done for Frodsham JFC, our players, coaches, volunteers and the wider community.”

Jeff will continue to support the Club in a non-executive role and will lead on the arrangements for this summers football festival.

Phil Wood steps into the role of Chairman after eight years on the Executive Committee in the role of Marketing and PR Officer, Phil said: “It is an absolute honour and privilege to be named at Chairman of our great Club. I have been loved being part of the Executive Committee since I was elected in 2015, and I take great pride in the huge strides we have taken as a Club in recent years. I hope to oversee a period of continuity and continued improvements as we move forward.”

There have also been some additional moves within our Executive Committee, with Joe Bell moving form his role as Facilities Officer to the role of Vice-Chairman, with John Fitton stepping into the Facilities Officer role. The Club now also has a second Child Welfare Officer with Donna Rhodes joins Peter Russell in that role.

Dates confirmed for Frodsham Football Festival 2023.

We are delighted to confirm the dates for our Festival of mini-soccer in 2023. This much-loved event, taking place over the weekend of Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June.

The two days will feature both boys (mixed) and girls tournaments for U7s, U9s and U11s on Saturday 24 June from 10am, with the U8s, U10s and U12s boys (mixed) and girls tournaments taking place on Sunday 25 June from 10am. All age groups are based on the 2022/23 season.

Tournament format
The tournament will be structured as follows:
5-a-side with a maximum squad size of 10 for:

• U7s boys (mixed)
• U7s girls
• U8s boys (mixed)
• U8s girls
• U9s girls

7-a-side with a maximum squad size of 12 for:

• U9s mixed
• U10s boys (mixed)
• U10s girls
• U11s boys (mixed)
• U11s girls
• U12s boys (mixed)
• U12s girls

U7s mixed & girls and U8s mixed & girls are non-competitive with all participants receiving a medal.
All other age groups are competitive.

As with last years festival, we will have all the usual fun and games alongside many food and drinks stalls.

Places are limited so register early to avoid disappointment.

After a two year absence due to Covid and the construction of the 3G and Changing pavilion at Helsby High School, we are delighted to announce the return of this much-loved event, taking place over the weekend of Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June.

The two days will feature both boys (mixed) and girls tournaments for U7s, U9s and U11s on Saturday 18 June from 10am, with the U8s, U10s and U12s boys (mixed) and girls tournaments taking place on Sunday 19 June from 10am. All age groups are based on the 2021/22 season.
