The fantastic squad at Frodsham Park U14’s are coached by UEFA C License coach, Billy Brown and Retired Pro GK, Danny Lloyd. Billy has been the Manager of the team for the past 4 seasons. Danny has joined the coaching team for 23/24 and will bring a wealth of experience as a former professional Goalkeeper playing for a number of teams across Europe.

The team had a fantastic 2023/2024 season finishing Mid Table after a promotion and reaching the Cup Semi Final where they were narrowly beaten 1-0 by league leaders and eventually league Winners Davenham FC in what was a match of the season contender . Matchday is Sunday, 10:30am kick off and we train on a Friday at 7pm. Both training and Home matches are played at Helsby High School where we have training on the incredible 3G facility and games are split between the 3G and excellent grass pitches.

Training is focused on match based sessions so the squad have a ball at their feet for most of the session. Our main focus is getting young people to enjoy football to build their confidence and resilience, As an added bonus it gets them off the XBOX. Our team is inclusive to all abilities.

The team has had a steep development curve after becoming a standalone team at the start of the 2020/2021 season. They have progressed brilliantly and gone from strength to strength even placing 2nd and 3rd at the teams first 2 tournaments.

Recognition is a huge part of how we run the team. Each training session has a ‘Player of the Night’. Each match has a ‘Parents and Coach Player of the Match’. We also have a ‘Player of the Month’ award. This is all in addition to the annual awards.

The team has a leadership group, a captain, a vice captain and 2 other members of its leadership group, whom will step in as Captain in the absence of the Captain and Vice Captain to promote leadership and team responsibility. Our Captain is Reece B who was awarded the captains armband by Danny and Billy at the start of the 23/24 season after 4 years with the team who Danny felt was the natural choice in the group, he gives 100%, never scared to battle for his team with an excellent work rate and will Challenge his teammates for more in the tough moments. Reece D is a Vice Captain, he is a role model within the team and challenges his team mates in the right way, he is Mr Consistent within his performances and despite only being with the team for just over 2 years is a natural fit for the role . For the 24/25 Season Logan and Ollie will also form part of this group after wonderful debut season’s in 23/24 where they play and give 100% every game, have shown 100% attendance and have a positive voice in the group and display high performance levels and effort week in week out.

The team is supported week in week out all over Cheshire by the players family and friends. Our wonderful parents have led numerous fundraising activities over the past few years and all the funds are put back into this team, buying the whole squad new kit such as Buccaneer Sports training/matchday Jackets, Joma 1/4 Zips, shorts and socks top ups, personalised shin pads for each player.
