LEAH TO BE LEAD GIRLS COACH
We are delighted to announce Leah Stockton will take up the role of Frodsham Junior FC Girls’ Lead Coach on 1 January 2021.
Leah joined Frodsham Junior FC as a player some 17 years ago at the age of four and has gone on to represent the Club at all age groups including our Open Age Women’s team, of which she is currently a member. Leah is also the third longest serving coach within the female section of the Club having achieved her FA Level One within a month of her 16th birthday.
Leah has assisted with coaching a number of age groups over the years and is currently supporting our Girls Under 14s Town team. Leah is an excellent ambassador and role model for the girls, and has previously been a recipient of the Club’s Young Volunteer of the Year Award. Leah will be a great asset to the Coach and Player Development (C&PD) Committee.
C&PD Officer Craig Hitchmough stated: “Leah will be a fantastic addition to our C&PD team! She has been through the full Frodsham Juniors player journey, and has gained a great deal of coaching experience, which she will be able to share with future coaches. Leah is a dedicated and committed volunteer who is Frodsham JFC through and through, I look forward to seeing what she achieves in her new role.”
Leah will take over from Chris Jennings who is stepping aside after 10 years to concentrate on developing his own coaching skills whilst continuing to manage the Girls Under 14s Town side who continue to go from strength to strength.
A huge thank you from everyone at our Club for everything Chris has achieved during his tenure and good luck Leah in your new role.
Leah’s contact details are available on the C&PD Committee page.
