PROGRESS REPORT: 3G PROJECT
In March 2020 funding was approved for the development of the £1.2 million, 3G all weather pitch and changing facility, on-site at Helsby High School. This project will be delivered in partnership with the Football Foundation, Helsby High School, Cheshire West and Chester Council and our Club.
With funding and planning permission already in place we had hoped to be playing on the pitch in autumn 2020, however, due to the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown the project has been delayed.
However, work has now begun!
We will post regular updates on the progress of the project right here, so check back regularly.
13 September 2021: Update number four
A room with a view!
Some video footage for you of the changing pavilion during the installation and fitting out stages. A little messy, but you can see how fantastic it will look.
13 August 2021: Update number three
The changing pavilion is in!
As the latest images show, the changing pavilion has been installed on site and looks great! Exciting times!
18 JUNE 2021: Update number two
The diggers have been busy and ground has been broken
As the latest images show, the project is now well under way, with the site fully fenced off and the diggers hard at it preparing the site.
7 MAY 2021: In the first update we can introduce you to the Changing Pavilion.
The new 3G Changing Pavilion at Helsby High School
The project includes a brand new Changing Pavilion, which is a modular based construction, this is built off-site and will be installed in sections when the development begins.
The Changing Pavilion will feature:
- Home and away team changing rooms and showers
- Referee’s and match day officials changing room and shower
- A kitchen/café facility
- A communal room large enough to hold 50 people (seated)
- An outside decked area
- Toilet facilities
We can now share the first images of the Changing Pavilion, including floor plans, 3D visual and photographs of the initial construction stages.
We hope this small glimpse into the future facility gets you all excited about the project.
